Oh sweet mystery...

Well, I went in for my laparoscopy yesterday. I got all prepped, wheeled in to the OR, and put to sleep. Next thing I knew, I was waking up with a killer sore throat and am being told they were unable to intibate me. For some reason they were unable to see into my trachea to get the breathing tube into the right place. I was heartbroken. So Cam took me home to recover from the anesthetic. Dealing with that recovery without the results made it so not worth it. Ugh. I also had to deal with feeling as though I had swallowed rocks. My throat is pretty shredded, but luckily nowhere near my vocal chords.

I don't know why it didn't work out, and the Lord did not have an exact answer for me. However,  in a blessing the Lord told us that this was not the time, that we needed to focus on our move and that when we have insurance again, we would find the doctor that was waiting to help us.

Anyway, we had the most incredible thing happen Tuesday. We are selling off almost everything, because it will be much much easier to start over there. Especially since we have know idea what size or layout our place will be. A couple came to pick up our end tables and they made a comment about how our underground storage unit reminded them of New York. I asked them if that was where they were from. Turned out, they had just moved here from NYC! We talked to them for the next hour and they told us sooooooooooooooooo much helpful stuff. They helped us realize that we need to hire movers and fly out there. Its a long long explanation, but trust me, its what we need to do. Anyway, they were the sweetest couple and they offered to help us with anything we need. They emailed us so we would have their info and offered again to help us with anything we needed. They also intend to move back in a couple of years. I told them that when they do, they had better look us up!!! lol. It was totally heaven sent, the Lord is awesome!!

So, that's what is going on with us. We will be flying out to NYC on the 1st or 2nd-ish. That will give us a week to apt hunt before Cam starts his new job. Turns out that living in a hotel for the last three months will allow us to stay in a hotel for free in NY for a week while we look for a place. :)

We expect everyone to come visit! We can't wait to be New Yorkers!!!

Start spreading the news!!!!!!

Attention!!!!!! Cameron and I have had a dream come true!!!
We are moving to New York City at the end of September. We are sooooooooooo excited!
The above picture is of the Brooklyn Bridge. Why, you ask? Well, I will tell you. Cameron has been offered the job of Facilities Manager for the Brooklyn Academy of Music (It is not a school, its an event venue). He is so excited! It is an incredible job, and he is going to be so fantastically good at it. He will get to combine his two best subjects, Music and Facilities Management. They are also looking for him to work on their capital asset management, which is one of Cameron's specialties. :) They have a bunch of theatres and have some really amazing events. I've included a picture of one of their gorgeous theatres.
Isn't it beautiful?!?! We are still in shock, its hard to believe we are being blessed with something we've wanted so much. We are now making our moving plans and apartment shopping. Cameron's last day with Cal State will be Sept. 30th and we will head out of here in the Oct. 1st. Cameron will start his new job and our new life Oct. 11th!!!! Wahoooooo! We expect everyone to come and visit!!!!

Goings on...

There has been a ton going on in our lives lately but...not really anything interesting. lol!

Cam went to NYC a week ago and interviewed with The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Madison Square Garden, and The New School. He got second interviews and was able to schedule BAM's before he left. They were ecstatic to have Cam there for an interview, telling him things like, that they felt the pieces were all falling into place for him with this position. He is expecting an offer soon. We are very very very excited! We can't wait to move out of this ridiculous hotel. :)

I went out to Utah a couple of weeks ago and spent a week with my mom and sister and cutie little nephew. Kyler is a total sweetie pie and he LOVES his aunt Lori. Mainly because I bounce him all the time. lol.

Cam and I have started geocaching lately (If you don't know about geocaching go to www.geocaching.com). It is so much fun! Like a treasure hunt. We even took a travel bug (a trinket with a registered dog tag) and transported it to a cache in Central Park. Yesterday we went to one on a look out with a beautiful view of Mt. Diablo.
