Whining first...great news second.

So here goes the complaining. :) I called the radiology department on the day I started my cycle in December. However, it happened to be a Saturday, they were closed, so I left a message. Nobody called me back! Then I called at 5pm (they close at 5:30!) the next week and they were already closed. grrrr! By the time I got a hold of them, they were totally booked. I was so mad! The lady I spoke to was really helpful though, she booked me an appointment for next month, since I'm pretty regular, and I'll call when I start my cycle to see if it is within the right window. So I have to wait a little longer, but whats one more month after 7 years right?
We got all of our paperwork mailed to our social worker, but it turned out that one of my doctor's notes was not sufficient. So I have to get a new one. Then when she gets that she will mail the home study report to us to proof.

Ok GREAT NEWS!!!! I am now teaching voice lessons at a dance studio in Concord, Ca. Its soooooo wonderful! I love it there, and I love my new students. I'll tell you all about it in my next blog update, but its 12:30 am so I'm going to sleep. :)

Fertility update...hmmm weird title.

Well, we have finished gathering all of our paperwork for the adoption social worker. Now we just have to wait to set up our home inspection and that's it! Crazy right?

So, since that craziness is calming down, we decided to throw a little more into the mix. Right before we left for Christmas we went to see a fertility doctor. He was great!!!! He was really funny, and clear about things, and put us totally at ease.

step number one for Cam is to be retested (poor guy).
Step number two...of that's right, the rest is up to me! Argh!!

Step number one for me is an X-ray ink test. They will be inserting a tube in the ovary/uterine area (fun right?) and filling it with ink. This way, when they take the X-ray they can see if there are any blockages or anything out of the norm in the fallopian tubes and other areas.

If that's normal, step two is Clomid (not looking forward to those hot flashes...). He wants to double the dose I was on last time and try that for a couple of months. If that doesn't work, we'll add insemination to the mix.

Supposing we still have to luck, the next step is a fertility drug that starts with a G (I can never remember the name) that I have to take injections with (yuck!). Then possibly adding insemination.

If that doesn't work (and I haven't had a nervous break down), we'll talk about exploratory surgery and in-vitro or artificial insemination.

The best part is that I now have a clear plan. It such a relief to be able to know what direction I'm going in instead of floating around in the dark. The only part I'm struggling with is knowing that I have a whole lot of disappointment and ups and downs heading my way. Well, here goes... jumping off the cliff.
