Some more life

Cam and I got lost on a drive about 3 weeks ago. We ended up going out to a town called Brentwood, about 20 minutes from where we live now. We had looked at possibly moving out there when we first arrived in CA, but eventually decided on Walnut Creek. Anyway, once we figured out where we were, we went looking for a house that used to be for sale and turned down the wrong street! I noticed that there was a for rent sign in the front yard of one of the houses. We have a lease until Feb '10, so we weren"t really looking, just put it in the back of our minds. However, the neighbor across the street was outside and saw us pause in front of it. He waved us over and asked if we wanted to see it. He just happened to have a key since the owner lives in Sacramento. We almost didn't take him up on it, but something whispered for us to go in and take a look. It's the most adorable little 3 bed 2 bath ranch house. It sits on a full 1/4 acre lot, so it has a huge wooded yard. There is an orange tree, plum tree, pomegranite tree, fig tree, grape vines, and other plants. We fell in love with it. The clincher for us however, was how incredible the neighbors are. They are protective of who lives there because they want to feel that their children are safe. They all know each other, and it was just so homey. Anyway, we prayed and prayed, and we felt like the Lord had dropped this house in our lap. So....we are moving July 17th!!! Yay!
