Could I be more lazy?

OK, so I skipped out on my homework this week, and I have a paper due today...ugh I just can't get myself to do it. It's only 500 words!!! So instead, I'm farming on facebook.

I went to Utah last weekend to perform with A New Light at a missionary reunion. It went really well, and I got to spend some time with my mom. Cameron was a total stud and cleaned up a lot of the boxes and mess at home.

We are having fun having a yard. Cameron has his first furlough day tomorrow and we are going to use it to plant our first garden. We have tomato vines in pots, and today we found a little tomato on one! We are going to plant beans, peas, squash, potatoes, corn, and some other stuff. Lets just hope we can turn our thumbs from bluish black to green!

We are almost done with our approval adoption process. We are currently waiting to be contacted by the independent adoption agency the county works through. They will set up a home study with us. Hopefully they'll call soon before I go crazy! lol!

Not much else going on. :)

  1. This is so exciting! It's awesome to hear your process to adopt :) So, are you going to take kids that are legal risk? Or only ones that are free for adoption? Eric and I were talking about what we would do, and with him being in the military and possibly being moved quite a bit, we were thinking that doing straight adopt would be better. Maybe things work differently in CA though. So fun!

  2. Well, the system for this county is very different. I have to admit, it's not for everybody. If want an infant, and we do, we have to take kids that are "early risk". This means that they are pretty sure that they will be available for adoption but that the parents still have like 12 months to get their act together. However, Cam and I have prayed a lot, and we know it's what we are supposed to do. Not everyone could handle the prospect of having their kids sent back to the biological family, I'm having a hard time with it. But, I have faith that either the Lord will send us our kids the first time, or he will give me the strength to handle whatever trials come our way. Straight adoption would probably be a lot less heartache and worry. This is just the path we are supposed to take. :)
